Makawir Nature Trail

With funding from MoPIC, a nature trail will be developed through the Mujib Reserve linking the renowned Makawir resthouse, JRF projects in the area and the Makawir religious site with Dead Sea tourist facilities.
This project implemented in cooperation with RSCN, will develop an environmentally-sensitive connection between a remote area and tourist attractions. It is anticipated that the hiking trail will promote tourism in the area and create employment and economic opportunities for local residents. It will also preserve and promote the natural environment and historical significance of Makawir.
