East Amman, Mafraq
The project expands and strengthens child protection efforts in vulnerable communities, mainly in areas mostly affected by the Syrian Refugee Crisis. Funded by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of the Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), child protection activities include both intervention and prevention, focusing on children-at-risk, and those involved in child labor and gender-based sexual violence (SGBV), including victims of early marriage. The project is implemented by JRF’s Queen Rania Family and Child Center (QRFCC) in East Amman, in partnership with several community based organizations (CBOs), including the Jordanian Society for the Care of Orphans and Juveniles in Mafraq.
