JRF, HTU sign MoU Empowering Youth in Digital Competencies
AMMAN - The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), marking a strategic collaboration aimed at empowering youth and enhancing their digital competencies to facilitate their entry into the job market.
The MoU was signed on behalf of HTU by its President, Dr. Ismael Al-Hinti, and on behalf of JRF by its Director General, Ms. Enaam Barrishi. This agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in supporting training programs, building capacities in promising sectors and information technology, and promoting professional mentorship practices.
The partnership focuses on knowledge exchange to provide technical support in identifying required digital skills, existing skill gaps, and analyzing labor market needs within the digital sector. It will also contribute to developing criteria for youth selection, assessment and career guidance tools, as well as designing and adapting digital training curricula and materials to ensure alignment with market demands.
Both institutions aim to serve youth and job seekers by creating pathways that enable target groups to access training programs, career counseling, and entrepreneurial support. These initiatives will focus on enhancing digital skills, developing practical and technical expertise, and connecting beneficiaries with available job opportunities in the market, with a particular emphasis on the information technology sector.
