Arab Bank Supports Ramadan Activities at JRF’s Community Centers
Arab Bank, in collaboration with JRF, organized a series of Ramadan activities for children at the Queen Rania Family and Child Center in Amman and the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Community Empowerment in Aqaba. This initiative reflects the Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting community-driven programs that promote knowledge, creativity, and family empowerment across local communities.
The program included three group iftar gatherings benefiting more than 300 children, with the support of 80 Arab Bank employee volunteers. Volunteers helped organize a range of engaging artistic and sports activities designed to encourage teamwork and instill positive values such as cooperation and respect, while also nurturing creativity and a sense of achievement among participating children.
The activities also featured interactive awareness sessions focused on key child protection concepts, including the “Safe Space” initiative, as well as technology-based activities, electronic games, and other recreational programs. These provided children with an enriching, hands-on learning experience in a safe and engaging environment. The events concluded with iftar meals prepared by the women of Al Karma Kitchen, a JRF social enterprise.
Through its centers in Amman and Aqaba, JRF implements a comprehensive model for community services aimed at improving the social, economic, educational, and environmental well-being of families and children. The Foundation integrates cultural and community contexts into its approach, working closely with local communities and partners to drive sustainable change and create economic opportunities.
Arab Bank continues to adopt a comprehensive sustainability strategy that underscores its commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact. Its corporate social responsibility program, “Ma’an” (“Together”), is a key pillar of this strategy. The multi-faceted program focuses on advancing various aspects of community development through initiatives spanning healthcare, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan support, and women’s empowerment.
