JEDCO, JRF Sign 159 Grant Agreements Addressing Water Scarcity, Climate Change
The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) has signed 159 grant agreements worth 2.3 million dollars designated to establish agricultural projects in hydroponics and water harvesting under the “Rural Economic Development and Employment Project”, implemented by the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) in collaboration with JRF. The project is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
These agreements aim to address water scarcity and climate change through the establishment of projects designed to support small farmers, rural women, and youth across Jordanian and Syrian communities in various governorates of the Kingdom.
