JRF, JCI Sign Mou On Joint Vocational Trainings, Job Placement
The Jordan Chamber of Industry and the Jordan River Foundation have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the development and implementation of vocational trainings to help create job opportunities for local communities.
According to a statement issued by the foundation on Sunday, the agreement was signed by the Director General of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Mr. Ishaq Arabiat, and JRF’s Programs and Training Division Director Dr Mohammad Hourani.
The memorandum includes cooperation in career networking for JRF’s beneficiaries, as well as developing curricula for essential training courses to facilitate their integration into the job market.
This collaboration is part of the Jordan River Foundation's community empowerment interventions to prepare young individuals for employment opportunities. Through various training programs and activities like career networking, vocational training and Work-based Learning (WBL), the foundation is building partnerships from both the private and public sectors, aligning with the local market's needs and its key sectors.
The Jordan Chamber of Industry is working as a national body that includes under its umbrella all the industrial chambers in Jordan, and it seeks to represent the interests of these chambers as well as promote full cooperation and coordination between them. The Chamber includes Amman Chamber of Industry that was established in 1962, Al-Zarqa Chamber of Industry that was established in 1998 and Irbid Chamber of Industry established in 1999.
JCI is considered the legitimate representative of the industrial sector in Jordan through participation in drawing general policies, caring for the interests of industrial and crafts establishments and representing the industrial sector in various local and international forums to advance national industry and improve its comparative and competitive advantages.
