Jordan River Foundation (JRF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1995 with a focus on child safety and community empowerment. It has been a major player in Jordan’s social and economic development, bringing forth over 20 years of experience to local community empowerment and child safety. JRF has also been supporting homegrown solutions that engage Jordanians and help them address local challenges. Most importantly, JRF places the wellbeing of children at the center of its development initiatives.
In partnership with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), JRF has launched the Capacity Building and Job Placement Program as part of its continuous efforts to leverage Aqaba’s local workforce, offering training in job performance skills aimed at nurturing a work culture compatible with the needs of today’s knowledge-based economy, and responding to the demand for qualified human resources, driven by an increase in investment projects across different sectors in Aqaba, mainly in tourism and hospitality, industry, mineral resources, as well as agriculture and livestock.
