JRF Concludes EntreComp4Youth, Expanding Training Outcomes
AMMAN – The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) announced the conclusion of the EU supported program EntreComp4Youth in collaboration with the Sharek Youth Forum, Bantani Education and CINOP.
Designed to enhance youth entrepreneurship skills and workforce readiness by integrating the EntreComp entrepreneurship framework with virtual reality technologies, the project exceeded its initial goals; empowering 17 trainers opposed to 8. Additionally, 40 youth mentors were qualified, surpassing the 24 benchmark.
A total of 102 youth were supported, exceeding the target of 80 through sessions focusing on creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and self-awareness, alongside virtual reality simulations; providing participants with real-world work scenarios in a safe and motivating learning environment.
The project achieved notable success rates, including 215.5% for trainers, 166.6% for youth mentors, and 127.5% for the youth beneficiaries, demonstrating its ability to reach a larger number of participants and offer a comprehensive training experience. This success was the offspring of a competency-based training methodology that relies on advanced digital tools.
The project followed a meticulous approach in participant selection, developed standardized training materials, and trained partners on utilizing virtual reality scenarios designed specifically to enhance entrepreneurial skills and workforce readiness.
The project is part of JRF’s continuous efforts to support initiatives empowering youth, expanding opportunities in digital learning, and equiping them with skills designed to enhance their professional readiness, particularly in Karak and Balqa.
